Academic processWhat is the retake procedure and cost?
Students with less than 60 points per subject at semester end are academically indebted. Retake courses are held during summer or winter break. Payment per credit is calculated from the base contract amount (approx. 150–200 thousand soums per credit).
FinancialWho receives stipends and what is a 'non-stipend' contract?
State grant students receive monthly stipends (unless grades are '3'). Contract students may choose 'stipend' or 'non-stipend' form. Non-stipend contract is cheaper; no monthly payment, only tuition fee.
TransferCan I transfer to another university or distance learning?
Yes, transfer is done once a year during summer break via the Ministry's platform (transfer.edu.uz). Valid reasons (marriage, parents' relocation, etc.) and receiving institution consent are required.
TechnicalI forgot my HEMIS password, how can I reset it?
Click 'Reset password' on the HEMIS login page or contact your faculty dean's office (or tutor). They will provide new login credentials.
SocialWhat documents are needed for dormitory placement?
Apply via my.gov.uz. Priority students (orphans, disabled, 'Iron Notebook') get preference. Standard placement requires passport copy, medical form 086 and application.
Academic processIs class attendance mandatory? How is attendance monitored?
Yes, attendance is mandatory. Per Uzbek law, students missing over 74 hours without valid reason per semester may be expelled. Attendance is tracked electronically via HEMIS; parents can monitor.
FinancialIs installment payment for tuition available?
Yes, tuition can be paid in 4 installments per year (25% per quarter). Socially vulnerable students may apply to the rector for payment deadline extensions.
AcademicIs my diploma recognized abroad?
ASMAN UNIVERSITY is state-licensed and accredited. The diploma is state-standard and fully valid in Uzbekistan. For foreign recognition, the host country's nostrification process applies (apostille in Hague Convention countries).
