Computer linguistics in development stages

Zafarbek Anvarbekovich Abdukarimov·Master’s student, Urgench RANCH University of Technology

Abstract

The article explains the essence of computer linguistics and the two processes a computer relies on — technical and linguistic support. It traces the history of the field: the idea of transformational grammar, the 1954 Georgetown machine translation experiment, the ALGOL algorithmic language and the congresses of world linguists. Finally, an algorithm for computer translation from English into Uzbek is analysed using a control example.
