«Lochin-1»: Bukhara Innovation University Conducts Space Research

Bukhara Innovation University is opening a new chapter in the history of higher education in our country. Under the initiative and support of the university administration, our students have, for the first time in Uzbekistan, built a stratospheric weather balloon with their own hands and are launching it to the threshold of outer space — an altitude of approximately 40 kilometers. This constitutes an absolute record for Uzbekistan.

This is not merely a scientific experiment. It is the fruit of the knowledge, courage, and aspirations of young people. A group of students, starting from a simple idea, arrived at a tangible result through engineering, physics, and collaborative effort. On June 28, 2026, «Lochin-1» will ascend over the Karakalpakstan Moynaq desert and capture footage of our Homeland in 4K format from an altitude of 40 km.

For our university, this project is a testament to our commitment to science and innovation, and above all, to our belief in our own students. We do not merely impart knowledge to our youth — we create for them the opportunity to conquer the skies.

«Lochin» is ready for flight. Follow this historic moment with us! Bukhara Innovation University — the future is created here.
